I thank God that we are not all built from the same mold. It would have been very boring if the LORD had done so. Yes, our convictions, perspective and interpretations of God will remain unchanged regardless of any discussion or arguments until the Spirit of God deems it's time for us to change and convicts us of it.
Each one of us have had a life-time of memories and situations which builds our belief system. If arguments can impact the change in anyone's life overnight, I have to believe that either God is at work in that person's life or this is one flaky person who has no firm foundations. 8^) Our question before us is this.. Why is it necessary to belittle or destroy another just to make oneself heard? Agora is a place for us to share our experiences, not to beat the other salesman in the sale. No browny points for good arguments, maybe for being more Christlike.... We cannot afford to allow people visiting Antioch, who are seeking God, to see a community of 'mud slinging', abusive, callous and opinionated people who call themselves Christians to behave this way in Agora. We are called to be salt and light - to bring flavour and sight, not acid and lasers corrode and dissect. Antioch would be going a disfavour to our LORD if we allow this to continue. We have repeated this request over and over. We are not in favour of using this platform to highlight wrong doings. May be there is a place for that, but not here. Yet, how can we continue to manage the forum when any of our decision is read as being opinionated, biased, and pomp-obsessed and we are challenged just because we say enough already? Often we come in to stop a person in order to protect them from harming themselves and others. It isn't seen as an act of love and protection to the very person and to the community at large. We are equally disappointed with the decision. May the LORD of Israel go with you. Shalom.
