End of Days

I guess this is it then, the end of days for this forum. Much as I hate to see this forum go, it is still the FM's call at the end of the day. This forum has been very much a part of my daily life since the first post. I had a lot of fun in cyber-dialogue with the folks here. A lot of interesting personalities have come and gone. Despite all the differences in opinions, perhaps the best thing is that those of us in Christ will see each other one day in heaven, perhaps to look back and smile at how insignificant (yet by no means unimportant) these issues may be compared to the glory and joy of being in Christ's presence forever. Come to think of it, maybe some of us have even walked past each other down the shopping malls without knowing who it was! Anyway, keep on going for the Lord. Draw your life from the source of all life: Jesus. Be so connected to Him that it could be said of us that "Christ is formed in us." And amidst all the vision and mission statements that many of us are called to follow in our churches, I leave one more vision statement to us all. No, it has nothing to do with goals and evangelism, it is simply this. This vision is about a Person. It's has always been about Jesus. One day everything will be summed up in Him. This is God's Eternal Purpose, don't let this thought depart from our minds. Hebrews say "Let's fix our eyes on the Author and Perfecter of our Faith." |
