Pray Any Comments

Forum: Messageboard

This is extract from Singapore Straits Times. There are arguments that the enemy is trying to show the world (the physical rhealm) that they can shape and change the world including creation of human beings which the Bible clearly tells us that God created heavens and earth and all the fullest of the earth are the Lord's.

Sincere hope that some prayers will be directed at breaking the enemies' plans and God's ultimate plan to redeem the fallen world will come through Jesus as the body of Christ is getting stronger so that what is seen can be changed by what is unseen through our faith in prayer.

Any comments ?

Shalom

LONDON - A robot will be able to pass the O-level examinations in 2010, we can step into 'orgasm booths' and have a sensational high brought on by electrical impulses, and artificial kidneys will be perfected by 2015.

In just five years scientists will be able to bring back to life extinct animals such as the dodo, and by 2020 we will be able to buy 'memory' chips to enhance our brains, just as computers can be upgraded electronically today.

These are just some of the predictions of Britain's top futurologist, Mr Ian Pearson, head of research and technology for British Telecom.

Mr Pearson made his forecasts after long talks with top scientists, medics, engineers and inventors.

He had made a name for himself after predicting - years before anybody else - the years when wristwatch television, flat-screen TV sets and animal cloning would be successful.

He predicts that by 2010, computer-generated actors and models will take over from stars such as Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts and beauties like Elle MacPherson and Claudia Schiffer.

The world's top computer buffs will compete to create synthetic but life-like celebrities with their own looks, personalities and voices, and the ones most widely accepted by the public will become the stars of tomorrow.

Despite current widespread opposition to human cloning, Mr Person predicts that designer babies will be born in five years' time.

The first wholly artificial heart will be made by 2010, but artificial brains will not arrive before 2035.

Many household gadgets would be voice-controlled in four years and by 2012, we will be watching three-dimensional television without the need of any visual aid.

Instant-translation machines in 2007 would enable people of all major countries to 'converse' face-to-face with each other.

In 10 years' time, there will be orgasm booths, just like the 'Orgasmatron' featured in actor Woody Allen's sci-fi film Sleeper.

Anybody stepping into the booths will be able to have an orgasm quickly, brought on by electronic impulses.

In the year 2020, life expectancy will be approaching 100 because of advances in medical research.

Mr Pearson said: 'The future looks good. Our lives will be enhanced.

'The children of today can look forward to having a great life tomorrow.'
