Shalom!! I believe when Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 about coming into His Rest and exchanging our heavy 'yoke'(burdens of life) to His 'yoke' which is light and easy. He is indicating that in His 'yoke' which is His Torah/His word, we'll find rest. And this rest, speaks of Peace, of Love, of Joy, Of Patience....

Over here, there's 2 aspect of rest: 1) Physical rest 2) Spiritual rest

PHYSICAL REST Genesis 2:2 -> By the seventh day, God had finished the work He had been doing; so the seventh day, He rested from all His work.

Exodus 34:21 -> Six days you shall labour, but on he seventh day, you shall rest, even during the plowing season and harvest, you must rest.

Above indicates that God rested upon His completion of His mighty creation. And has also commanded us that we too need to take time to rest our body. We are to be good stewart to the bodies that He has given us, hence, it's our responsibilty to present our body as a Holy temple (1 Cor 6:19); not abusing it. We rest our body so that we can serve Him better..may it be in area of our mundane work environment; in church or even as sons/daughters at home.

SPIRITUAL REST A time set aside just you and the Father alone in a secret place where you commune with the Father; be still in His presence, listening to His still small voice & meditating on His Torah and awaiting for His instructions and will to be revealed to us. A time when you come to the throne that's full of His grace and mercy, putting down all your burdens of life before Him in-exchange for His Peace, Comfort and strengths. This, He promised in Ps 119:52 for Comfort; 1 chron 16:27 for Strength & John 14:27 for Peace, and He yearned to bless us with all this heavenly promises only awaiting for us to come into that dwelling place with Him.

Shall we make it a resolution to take time to come into that Holy of Holies...and make Psalms 27:4 our aim and focus?

Find time in His rest for He has said, Ask and it will be given; Seek and you shall find; Knock and it shall be opened unto you...

God bless...
