Marketing the Church

Recently, another wave of new method to run cell has been propagated, first known as Group of 12, but will be known as Government of 12. Originating from South America, it is believe that this will bring massive conversion once the structure of this new moment is in place (sounds familiar?). From what I see of it, it is non other than multitier marketing/networking borrowered from the secular world. The top down effect of this new movement is just another startegy from the countless once that had come and go. The danger of it is that the name change signify the real motive behind this new way: Control. The traditional evangelical methods are discarded and in place comes a controlled, numbers only method that spells: "the results must justify the means". Cell leaders meet their members solely to strategise evangelical methods. Cell programmes discourage worship and sharing of needs. Mass "encounter" meeting of the same sex to share their shortcomings. Male & female are not to meet together. No teaching programmes for children and teenagers. Advance lessons on enrichment open only to members following closely to the G12 format. Separating the Church into those who conform and those who choose to stay away. These are coming into practise and will be introduce shortly to the local church.
I understand that many might not believe the above, but with "unity" as their platform, churches will influence churches in this new method. To conform or not, it is up to you. But do remember, where the Spirit of God is, there is FREEDOM.
