Note Quantity Vs Quality Of Friendship

Hi Jade

Whenever there are people, there are always interpersonal relationships issues to handle and how we approach these issues is truly 'challenging'.

In terms of friends, it is good for each of us to have as many friends as possible, but quantity is not the primary issue. It is the quality of friendship that counts the most. I have learnt this important lesson after going through many ups and downs in fostering friendships with others and also fully comprehend that the four most important elements in long-lasting friendships are mutual acceptance of each other irregardless of strengths and weaknesses, sensitive to each other's needs and feelings, giving each other 'freedom' and 'space' to do other things while maintaining contacts with each other (non-possessive and not dominant), as well as fully learning to love each other with the love of the Lord. Through it all, I am really thankful to God for my long-lasting friends even though there are only a handful of them and we have 'stick' to each other through every situation.

I sincerely pray that God will bring genuine friends along your path and do treasure them always regardless of who they are.

May God's love and peace be with you always!

In-Christ Grace
