Medication to shrink fibroids are not "natural" (I was talking about HRT). Also, the treatment may not work. Furthermore, taking such medication has some side effects which you should be aware of (e.g. menopause) so it may not be suitable if you still want to have children.
Don't be surprised if the doctor encourages you to go for surgery. In a way it's the most permanent solution, but it's not the only one. Arm yourself with knowledge so that you can talk with your doctor intelligently.
