Hi CH, I am not sure whether u r going for an op but Since you are taking care of yourself after surgery, I would like to suggest ways of quick recovery. (I am a nurse before) Taking in of suffient nutrients in your diet would help wound healing especially Vit C. I think the Dr would prescribe to you. Drinking of green lemon (without seed) mix with honey. U can drink it 2 times a day. It has alot of nutrients and is anti-toxiant. The Dr will also prescibe anti-biotics (to complete the course),pain killers (side effect is drowsiness) and hormonal replacement. Take good care of your wound by checking for any rashes, itichness, redness, warm or running a fever. Go back to the Dr if this occurs. Ensure that the wound area is dry and do not apply any oinment and do not open it. Cover it with a plastic bag and do not let water go into it when bathing. If you have no appetite, take Ensure (a type of milk which meets up our body daily requirement, can purchase in Ntuc or hospital pharmacy.)I will update you of more if u r going for surgery. I hope this would be of help. Q
