Dear brother,
It's because that you keep pressing yourself to do what seemed right in God's eye and unable to fufil it because you are trying to live a holy life using your FLESH. This of course will bring you misery because he who live by the flesh cannot please God. That is why our Lord Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwells in us, so that through the empowernment of the Holy Spirit, who are able to live a godly life, pleasing unto God. We need the Holy Spirit inorder to live a holy life, to try to struggle your way through using human strenght is to no avail! I'm glad that you have this desire to rededicate your live back to Jesus and indeed this is a smart choice. Why not join a Christian Church near your district that preaches the Bible and Jesus. get to know some Christian friends and when you think you can trust them, tell them your problems and ask them to pray with and for you. Get a good habit of reading the BIBLE daily and read it not like a fable but to apply the biblical principles in your daily life, try to understand what the passage is saying in its context and memorise some Bible verses that you think give you courage and advice. Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, it is alright that your faith is different from your friends and their thinking is different from you. Infact being a Christian does not mean you will lead a restricted life, you can go on partying with them provided you know your limits(ie. not to the extent of getting drunk and commit sexual sins)..Be of good courage and FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH IN JESUS!
