Read your message and know, well almost, how you feel..
I was married to my husband who, before recommiting himself to God, was abusive both physically and verbally to both myself and the children. I thank God that He showed us the way and revealed lots of things to us during our time of separation to bring us back together and acknowledge our weaknesses to overcome it. For the children's sake, have strength and courage. Seek God and He will be by your side to guide them properly. Marilyn Hickey's book, Satan Proof your Home is a good read. She said..Mark your children and household for God. Coz' once the seed is planted within them, even though how much they stray, they will be brought back by God. And God will be by their side faithfully correcting him and waiting...waiting for him to realise that God is his comforter. When my hubby and I came back together, we were concerned about first most...the generation curse. His parents were in an abusive marriage, and so was ours. Even though it was something he promised himself never to do, but things just turned out that way. And we wanted to ensure that the curse ends in this generation and no further. Prayed for God to work in us and break the bondage hold on anger and teach us to guide the children rightly. And we are still praying for God's guidance as our children are still small. Imparting them God's word and ensuring them of God's Love and grace. Mark your children for God. And see Him do the work. Seek Him and pray. Also pray for your husband. Everyone told me that my husband was without hope and Leopards do not change their spots...but that's not true. With God's grace, He has transformed him. Though sometimes the old self surfaces, he is able to grasp hold of that and take that thought and actions captive. renounce it all in God's name. before it becomes abusive. I pray that that stronghold will be broken and will pray for your family. Don't despair. It is a constant struggle, but please do perservere. It's all in His hands. For God is good, all the time. Take Care and God Bless you Sis-in-christ Lil
