How can we pray with you...

Dear distressed, She needs help..not just from God but from man too. Praying will help. I believe in that. But we need to know the root of the problem. if you say your nephew is just 2 years old, caning him will not make him a better child. It will turn him to hate his mother. She may be trying very hard to be a super mom, to have a perfect child. She may be a housewife who spends all her time alone with the child. Everyone needs a break. Especially 'new age' moms. Or it could be this little boy who just won't sit still and wants attention all the time. In any case, one should try human factor first..if all else fails, try God. With a first child, it can be very difficult to be a perfect mom. Most women take it out on kids until a family member steps in. Usually the husbands are the ones who takes control. Prayer only helps if you believe in it. It does no good by praying and not finding the cause of the problem. I almost lost my niece to high fever many many years ago. My church friends and I fasted and pray for 3 whole days. The fever did subside, but she developed other illness in the process. We were tired and worn out from prayer. In the end, God revealed to us why He did not answered our prayers. My sis and my bro-in-law were not on good terms. They quarrelled frequently over petty issues. And left my little niece alone with my mom. If God had not given high fever to my niece and shook her parents hard enough, my sis and BIL will probably be divorced by now. But thank God, it is His will that bad things happen alongside with good things. My sis and her hubby are now very loving and shared many happy moments with my niece. there is a reason for things to happen. Sometimes we do not know what. Only God knows. |
