Dealing With A Uneducated Cleaner In Office

I work for this present company for about 5 years and have been putting up with this male cleaner who has this constant habit of speaking unkind comments about me to other colleagues. I have analysed whether or not I have offended him in the past to cause him to react in this way and it seems that there is nothing I have done to deserve this kind of treatment. Furthermore, he is not under my direct supervision and I do not have to communicate with him daily.
By the way, I know that he also done such things to others whom he don't like whether or not the other party has offended him. I have brought up this matter with his direct supervisor even thought I know that his supervisor is also fond of playing politics in the office. However, the situation remains the same. As an additional piece of information, there are a lot of politics going on in my present company and the top management is also involved in these politics and that's why there is no control of them. I could have retaliated in one way or another, but I am still praying for God's divine intervention without being harsh in my reactions. Frankly, I have prayed that this cleaner to be removed from this company, but I know that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Sometimes I do feel distracted by this matter and I really feel that I am 'foolish' by being bothered about it, but we are still human beings with dignity and feelings. I would appreciate if there are good spiritual advices on how I should handle this matter. Most of all, do pray for me. Thank you.
