Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I am very thankful to Derek and Bernard for their thoughtful responses to my message. Thanks for your understanding and prayers. Thank you also to all others who may have read my message and prayed for me. It is still some time till the commencement of my church's baptism preparation classes, but I hope and pray every single day from now will be, for me, a forward step of preparation and of drawing ever closer to God. He has been so faithful to me despite my continual faithlessness... praise the Lord indeed! I was wondering... in what ways can a severely 'shy' person (like me) possibly contribute meaningfully to the life and ministries of the church? It is my fervent hope that God will, through the work and direction of His Spirit, show me the path to overcoming my shyness, but this will not happen overnight, so are there any concrete, 'incremental' ways for me to serve Him where my shyness (which will hopefully be receding over time) will not be an overwhelming obstacle, and through which I may perhaps learn to gain greater self-confidence? If anyone would be so kind as to share any examples or personal experiences, I would be very grateful indeed. Thanks once again to one and all. May our dearest heavenly Father add His wondrous blessings to each and every one of our lives according to His gracious will. Lord, thank You for all You've done for me. Best regards. KL
