Feedback Suffering is "fact" of life

Many Christians are so brainwashed by the health and wealth gospel being preached these days that we fail to realise suffering is part and parcel of this life we have now.

A "victorious Christian life" is not a life without suffering and pain; it is a life which is wholly Christ-centered, to-Christ-submitted, in-Christ-we-trust. Suffering is NOT solely a sign of sin, not solely a sign of disobedience, just as a "good life" is not solely a sign of totally obedience and "approval" from God.

I refuse to buy-in insensitive comments such as "you are sinning against God," "you don't have enough faith," etc. You hear such things from many people these days. So now we can judge a person's spirituality by whether he or she is having a "good time" in life.

If you're searching for some answers as to why suffering abounds in this life, I would like to encourage you to read the following books:

1) When Heaven Is Silent (Ronald Dunn) - try Bethesda Book Centre

2) When God Weeps (Joni Eareckson Tada / Steve Estes)

These books may not give the answer to "why", but it certainly will give a new perspective to the "role" of suffering, much more than what's being promoted in the church today.

Hope this helps.
