Actually, Evelyn, the church you belong to, does have an influence over your spiritual walk with God. I feel that you seem very defensive over certain issues, maybe becoz you yourself might be one who also drink alcohol, never join cell group, etc.
Cell groups are important for Christians. Cell groups are a form of support for Christians. So, I don't agree with your 'advice' to sian that 'bible never says must join cell groups.'If a Christian only goes to church and does not have fellowshipping with other Christians, then that Christian is in danger of being lured to the ways of the world. Why do I say that? Coz, if a Christian mixes and fellowships with non-Christians more often, then it is very likely the person will be drawn to the ways of the world if he or she is not careful or strong enough to resist temptations. "and do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation,;but be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 Everything is permissable, but not everything is beneficial.
