Your situation sounds like what i experienced many years ago with the children's ministry I handled. We are not getting thru to the children. They are restless all the time. We, the Sunday School teachers meet every Thursday night after work to pray for the children. Each one of us were left high and dry. We are so exhausted finding new ways to minister to little ones. Finally, a brother in church suggested that we fast and pray continously for 3 days. From this small group of 10 teachers, only 4 could have 3 days leave. We did it. We fasted, we prayed. A breakthrough came forth from the Holy Spirit and God revealed to us what has happen. We are so busy with new ideas, new games, new things that we forgot to have fun with the children. We forgot that on some days the children just want a hug or just to sing a old familiar song, or to re-tell the story of the Noah's Ark. And also that while we busy ourselves with finding new improvement we forgot to share and minister to each other as teachers. We forgot to hold a new Teacher's hand, to guide her, to reassure her and be there just as friends. Sometimes in our struggles in life, we often forgot about God's wonderful blessings..simple things like smelling the flowers, waking up early one morning just to wait for sunrise or hear the birds chirping. Here you are, spirit willing, body is weak. Take delight in God's blessings...and He will give you strength in everything you do. A verse I love from the Bible(sorry, I am not good with memory verses...) "Cast all your cares upon Him, I lay all of my troubles down at His feet. And everytime, I don't know, what I should do, I will cast all my cares upon Him" Actually this is made into a hymn. so i sang it so much that i forgot to check which chapter or verse its from.
