One day at a time.. 
At crossroads... don't know what to do. (Grace)

Dear Grace good to see you again..here at least. Live your life one day at a time. Trusting God takes alot of faith and encouragement. Leave everything in His hands, follow your instincts and you will be well. Don't worry too much about the future, you do not know what lies ahead. Tackle each day by itself. When tomorrow comes, start thinking and worrying tomorrow. The job market is not good as what the Straits Times have said for the past week. If you can't get a full time job, go for temps or contract work first to earn money and experience. Be humble and be prepared to learn from the begining. Office politics is worse with old generals. Old generals are people who are pioneers in the office for some 5 years and beyond. They fear graduates with paper qualifications. They had lots of experience but no paper to compete with you..so they play games and tell stories to bosses to make you look silly. Rule of the thumb: be neutral, dont join in with gossips and rumours. When people joke, laugh. Don't take sides. If ever in doubt, ask God for Wisdom and guidance. My dad told me that the best gift to ask from God is wisdom and knowledge to handle office politics. About your love life...enjoy him and take it easy..don't rush him or yourself. All of us come from all walks of life. All of us have some kind of hurts here and there. It is how we learn in life later to overcome them. Your boyfriend needs to let go of his hurts or it will mar him from having any healthy relationship with anyone. Whether it is you or some other person. He must take that first step to want to be healed by man or by God. I was at my crossroads when I turn 22. I was as frantic as you and was totally stressed out by worrying. Then I cried out to God for help. I have just broke up with my long time boyfriend, was retrenched and out of job...and had no savings whatsoever. You are much better off than me. I have no papers other than my O Level cert. At least you have your boyfriend.. I had no one. God paved my valleys for me...and I never looked back since then. Whenever I am in any sort of trouble, I seek God for help. And He directs my path. Since that day, I live one day at a time. Every job I took was God send. I never applied for any jobs..all were given to me..including this current job I'm in. God Bless, I will pray for your peace. Gina |
