Hi,
I empathise with your situation. I don't mean to be insensitive, but you can consider these questions: 1. What are your "basic needs"? 2. How much does it take (in monetary terms) to meet them? 3. Are you willing to take up a job (even if it is short-term or temporary) to meet those needs? I'm asking you to consider these questions, because there was a time in 1999, that I was out of a job for at least 6 months. I have high qualifications and wide experience but circumstances were such then that I had no job. Yet I had to meet my needs. The most basic and pressing was one decent meal a day and busfare to go to church and back, and about $110 a month to keep my GIRO payments for personal insurance from bouncing. Which came up to less than $300 a month. And I wanted some extra money that I could give as a Christmas offering. I came before the Lord and laid it out to Him. I told Him that I was willing to do the simplest job for minimal pay just to meet those needs. A friend called up soon after that and asked me to be a part-time receptionist at his office. I answered phones and did whatever errands he and his staff told me to. The pay: $5 an hour for 4 hours a day, Tue to Fri. Pay day came two weeks later. It was also Christmas time. And it soon dawned on me that my pay, meagre as it was, was not for me. It was for the Christmas offering. My friends said I was crazy but I put it into the bag anyway. Less than a week later, I landed my first project as an independent consultant. A month after that, the customer was so pleased with the work that he offered me a five-figure contract for a three-month project. Since then, the Lord has given me enough work not only to meet my basic needs, but also to bless others. The Lord never fails...
