Stand for the Lord
| I've read comments - both negative & positive related to the True Life Stories. Here's my 2 cents worth: My stand is this; If someone sends a testimony about a life-changing episode in their life, then it is the Lord who convicted them to do so. I've come to understand that the Lord will use any one and whatever it takes to edify someone out there who has a need just then. Take for instance the 'Monk story'. I received this one from someone I had never met through my email. (Frankie Lee, if you're reading this - good for you! You stood for the Lord!) Whether or not it is true doesn't matter. It is biblically correct, and if it edifies someone who doesn't know Jesus and is saved, then that's the vehicle that the Lord used. Personally, I'll stick to the narrow path. I'm a born again Christian, and though I came to the Lord with 'Signs and Wonders', my experience with other Christians were confined to my Church. A 'coconut shell' Christian if you will. Very narrow! It was the 'Monk story' that led me to Antioch, and together with my Bible, broadened my perspective of the Lord's plans and purpose for us. Once I received a 'Gay Jesus' signature chain email (from a unsuspecting Pastor) which had gone the circuit! I added my name to the humongous list (as someone put it) and emailed it to everyone on my mailing list. The one who saw the humongous list sent me sent me the Hoax Alert homepage and I a=had to re-email them about the 'Gay Jesus' hoax. But then I felt there was a purpose to this particular hoax. Though Jesus do not need us to defend Him, it would seem that we could still stand up and be counted - by HIM! So I included in the hoax alert to my friends that though the 'Gay Jesus' signature chain is a hoax - I'm still signing on to stand for the Lord! Many replied back to say "Hey! Count me in!". Not a single indignant reply came back. So you see, satan too uses whatever it takes to steal souls, but whatever barbs he uses is always deflected, and we're blessed instead, only if we can see it that way. Halleluyah and praise to the Lord. All glory to HIM! Victory is our Lord's! To all concerned, all blessings in the Lord Jesus. Shirley |
