Ok A miracle for an unborn baby

Forum: True Life Stories

My little girl is now 33 months old. When I conceived her, the doctor advised me to go for a fluid test as I was approaching 35 years old and had a history of miscarriages in the past. I went for the test, fearing about the truth. I wanted this baby so much and so badly but I would not keep her if she was to be 'unhealthy'.

Though it is not right for Christian to abort a baby, I prayed the unwilling prayer for a mother to God. Asking God to take her away if she is not well. Like in the form of a miscarriage.

My dad told me that God only gives good things to those who asks of Him. Sincerely in my heart I ask for a baby perfect in every way.

The test results came back negative with bad results. My little unborn baby is to be born sexually deformed and a possibility of a blood disorder. She will look like a girl but have no female reproductive organs. When she reaches puberty, she will stop growing. She will stop developing into a woman. She will live and die with a baby face.

The genetic specialist saw us and told us that a child like this cannot survive in Singapore. Reason is very simple. All of us like to look at "freaks". A child like mine could live happily ever after in a foreign land. Places like Australia or America, children with deformities are given a chance in everything. Not so here in Singapore.

That very moment, I cried for her. My hubby cried too. But the genetic specialist told us to spend some quiet time to think about it before we give the final decision.

I went home with a heavy heart. I spoke to everyone I knew. My church members prayed for me. We decided to keep her. We prayed for months till she was born. We lived every day on a hope from God that all will be fine.

My little girl was born on 25 May 1998, 6 weeks prematured. But healthy and well. She had everything in her. The doctors were amazed as the monthly scans shows she had no reproductive organs. At the age of only a few hours, my little baby went for Xrays and blood tests. She came out perfect in every way.

After my confinement period, I went to church and shared my testimony with everyone. Many mothers-to-be came to me and cried. They were touched and asked me to pray with them.

Prayer changes things..all things.. believe in it and in God. For He alone can make all wrongs right.

Give Him all the Glory!

AMEN!
