There is no straight formula to finding out who 'The One' will be. There is no direct instructions in the bible. But these is a pattern from some romances in the bible. First, you must be in a very close walk with God so that you know what He is telling you. To some people God may reveal who is in store for them, for some He may not reveal directly because He may have some other lessons in life that God is teaching them. That is why love is a wonderful thing, you never know what is ahead so that you can lean on God to guide you through with earnest prayers. God works in different ways for different people - Different Strokes for Different Folks!!

Second, is the person a godly person? If not, don't even consider because it would only make things complicated for yourself. That is where most people make mistakes, because they think they can change that person in the process. We don't make the changes, that's God's business!

Third, evaluate what you want in a person and see if that is 'in tune' with God.

Fourth, don't rush into a relationship, they end up as fast. Discover more about each other, and whether is there a meaningful friendship.

One word of caution is to be aware, I have known in many cases where people take the name of the Lord in vain and claim that God told them you are meant for them. If that is really the case, why hasn't God spoke to you? God loves you very much and will never leave you out in the decision when it comes to your happiness!! You can also say no to that person, and let yourself have time to pray. LOVE IS PATIENT, if that person really loves you, he should be patient enough to wait upon God and you. God will never forsake His children, when you seek Him earnestly, you will begin to see Him open doors in your life and lead you in the right path. Hope this helps....
