Hi brother,
I am going to share with you something that happened to me half a year ago, and tell you what amazing things God has done in my family's and my life once we commit everything to Him. All I am going to ask you is this..what you are doing..Do you think God will approve?? Let the Holy Spirit within you speak to you. You already know the church does not advocate it and entering into this relationship is not right. So pray for Guidance. I was like the sister you were talking about..I was physically, verbally abused. And has been taking this for a while. I have 2 children. I was also burdened with finance. He spends and I was in charge of finance. I was really at the bottomless pit, not daring to speak to him about it, I was emotionally a wreck. Until I took my children and left him one day. Not the wisest move though I must say. But I was doing all this by my own strength, and did not seek God. THrough our separation, we spoke many times. Say he would change etc, but knowing him, I know he wouldn't even if I went back to him. THe children went back first. I must say he is a good father. Spoke about counselling, but he wouldn't. Finally, told him that he would not be able to change except with God's help. And I'm glad he listened. He went back to church, brought the children back, every night the children says prayers, and he gave his life back to God, our Father. Asked God for forgiveness and repented. So did I. God opened our hearts. He went for counselling, I went for counselling, and soon we were back as friends. We needed to sought out our own problems. My confidence back, his self-control. I eventually went back home after 4 months and have been home for 3 months now. Being a smoker for 20 years, he quit smoking. Not by his own doing, but with God's grace and mercy. He hasn't spoke a single foul 4 letter word ever since. I would like you to share this with your friend. There is hope. In a marriage, it takes 3 to work. She, Him and God. God made us one and would not want us to be torn apart. In all, it would probably be lessons to learn. When we encounter trials and tribulations, it is God's plan. And He is always there to provide us the escape plan, provided we turn to Him. She should be praying for him. FOr God to open doors, give him a clean spirit and speak to him. It's not easy, but God does amazing things, He open doors that we can't. He tells us what to say when we are speechless. And most important, He loves us. Romans 8:28 All things (GOod or Bad) work together for good to them that love God, who ar called according to his purpose. I pray for you and that sister. Please remember: Phil 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing (Don't worry) but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto GOd. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. In Jesus Name Lil
