If the person is standing then he is anointed with God's touch for a spiritual revival or cleansing etc work of God in that person's life. But to be slain is to fall down under the anointing which is too powerful for anyone to fight back and still continue standing after being touched by God. God can do HIS work either way HE likes that HIS will alone be done.

So, it's up to HIM which way he wants to anoint us when we go up for alter-call or have a pastor pray over us. But just I don't like it when it's man-made slain.
