I thought before a lawyer accepts a case to defend someone he or she would find out all about the case first. You should ask the older Hokkiens what the term means and decide whether it is appropriate for anyone to be described as such in this modern times. The purpose of the usage of the term is irrelevant in this context. Why do you think we now use the term African-American instead of Negro? People do have feelings, you know? Try using the term on a Eurasian here and see what happens before you attack what you call other people's "high moral horses". Surely there must be a more acceptable way to illustrate the Parable of the Sower. Or is this how modern pastors teach their congregations? Don't forget that you live in a multiracial and multicultural society. Don't they teach in the modern church to respect other people?

Just an example, you don't call someone a bastard even if he is really born out of wedlock in these modern times. We are not living 2000 years.
