What is "Scientific Method" (Eveline How)

Hi, well, generally it means making a hypothesis, and testing it while gathering data with an objective & unbiased mind/eye. After this,we then reject or accept the original hypothesis. This simplistic description of 'the' scientific method retains strong currency with the public but is now known not to be an accurate picture of how scienctific research actually proceeds. In fact, the science philosopher Peter Medawar called the scientifc paper a fraud as it presented 'facts' in a seeminly fixed order!
