Hello...just some comments from a lawyer. Before you wish to sue, perhaps you should ask yourselves several questions.
1. Is suing going to re-open the door for the hurts to come into your heart again? Is it going to cause bitterness to pollute your spirit as you go through the long and arduous process of the law? Bear in mind that the legal process from issuing a lawyer's letter to issuing a writ summons against the doctor to setting down for trial and to the trial itself will take no less than a year. Then even if you win the suit, the doctor may appeal to an appellate court. All this will take a toll on you spiritually and emotionally, not to mention your wallet! In other words, is it worth the heartache and headache of instituting legal proceedings? 2. What is your really motivating you to sue? You mentioned that it is for the purpose of the lower to middle income group. If, as you mentioned, there is no revenge in your motive, perhaps you could commit the whole matter to God's hands instead of trusting in the arm of flesh. God's justice is failproof. It might seem that God isn't doing anything about it in the meanwhile, but rest assured, He has recorded down every detail of the injustice done to your mother and the grieve that has afflicted your heart. God definitely does a better job than the country's legal system! Regards, Joseph
