Dear Interested

"The main feature of the Scientific Method is that you must be able to conduct some Experiment to evaluate some consequence based on your Hypothesis. What statisticians do is to contribute to the Design of the Experiment and the Analysis of the Data. "

Yep, I understand. It's this thing about making observations so that predictions can be made, and experiments can be performed to test the predictions.

My point is even though one can make a reasonably sound prediction of an event based on the scientific method (e.g. throw a rock up and it probably will come down), no one can be 100% certain that it will always happen the same way in the future. Who knows, there may be some Law of Contra-Gravitity we don't know anything about.

Anyway, I can't think of an experiment to "test God." The atheist I was dealing with did demand that God put up a performance for him though (create earth again, perform miracles again, etc).
