Hi! Eveline,

I just had a quick glance of the Pascal's wager paper. If I have seem it correctly, I agree with Hacking that it is incorrect to assign the probablity of 1/2 to the existence of God. This is based on classical probability theory of the old days and is only useful for equally likely events like tossing a coin. But a lot of events are not equally likely and we need to think in terms of Distribution Theory to assign a probability to events which are not equally likely. In my opinion it should be either 0 or 1. 0 means you don't believe in the existence of God and 1 means that you do believe in His existence with certainity. That is all for now since I only had a quick glance at the paper.

Bye Bye:-
