We want to hear from you... A query that needs an answer, a word to uplift the people, a statement of concern that needs prayer, a cry for help...

Hi Mary,
Just read your message, and reminded me of what I went through about 6 months ago. Think I had it worse, coz i went thru' physical, emotional abuse, vulgarities and more from my husband...for a couple of years. He was also a heavy smoker of 20 years. I have 2 children and have been married for 5 years. While trying to help him in managing the household, I was brought down with my own financial situation. His spending did not help. I was meek then. And everything he said, went his way. Eventually, I could not take it anymore, I took my kids and left...Not the best thing to do I might say. However, the kids went back home after 2 days. And later, We were preparing the divorce papers, separation papers etc...I said that there was no hope. But I thank God for this, I went back to Church, to God and prayed. Prayed for His guidance and His Will. Though we were apart, we had many conversation with regards to the kids, I remembered clearly saying one day that no one will change you except God. And God heard me. Praise God. He went back to church and brought the children to God as well. I thank God for that. He went counselling, something which he wouldn't have done long time ago, but he did. The next thing, he went to cancel the divorce papers. I went couselling too. And realise that in the end we wanted to be with each other. But we had to sort ourselves out first. To cut it short, I am back home now. He got his family position right as the Head of the household. We attend cell and prayer meetings. We attend chuch and most importantly, the family prays. The couple has to pray as well. A marriage takes 3, God, You and Your Husband. And, my husband has stopped smoking and he doesn't use foul language anymore. All with the Holy Spirit and God's beautiful hand in bringing Him back from the wilderness. The most important thing you have to ask yourself, Do You Love Him??DO you love him enough to help him get through this with God on your side?? Then Mary, pray earnestly to God that you want change for the family and for God to have a hand in it. As what God joined as one, He will not take away. Rebuke the evil one that is causing all this negative thoughts and confusion. Ask God to forgive and fill him with the Holy Spirit to give Him peaceful sleep. Make you a helper. Seek God to teach you how to approach your husband. The couselling that we attended was Family Life Society. No: 4880278 and Touch Community Family life 3403677. ALl trained cousellors and very helpful. It helps for both to tell your side of the story, to find out the cause. You know, sometimes GOd sends us in the wilderness to find victory at the end of it. To teach us His Ways. I'm gld we came out winning. I believe you could too. Pray and believe. He will not fail. I do hope that you would find God and peace in your life. Will pray for you. Lil PS. Let me tell you how great God is..This morning my colleague was just sharing that I should share my testimony of God's great works in my marriage and family. I told that I wouldn't know how to write. But here i am writing and sharing with you...after reading I needed share my wonderful experience. All is not lost. Leave it to God. It's all in His Hands.
