I have neighbours in my block who either like to gossip about other neighbours because they do not like their faces or other small nitty-gritty matters. Personally, I have met such strange encounters which are no faults of mine. For example, I would regularly walk down the stairs to go to work every morning. A neighbour who live at the next higher floor would normally take the lift from the floor which I stay because there is no lift at her floor. She notice that I will take the staircases instead of the lift every morning and misinterpret that I do not like to take the same lift as her. Consequently, whenever she meets me either around our flat or some other places, she will utter some unfounded remarks to her children who are with her. This lady is conversant only in the English language and due to her strange conclusions about me, she also implicate my parents. Frankly, initially, I find it very amusing, but I know that there are many kinds of people around us. However, I am very comforted that my family members, close colleagues and friends are so called 'normal' people who know what is right and wrong. In conclusion, my main point of view is that we could not please everybody and likewise, do not expect all people to please us. As long as we are behaving in a courteous manner and be free from all guilts, our conscience is free. We just have to pray for God's peace and strength to be with us and leave every situation to Him because His grace is sufficient for us and He will work things out in His timing. Let's us continue to pray for each other.
