Dear friend, Is my joy to welcome you into God's family. As a new christian, you have to adjust your lifesytle depending on what kind of background you are from. Maybe there are sins to confess that you've hidden in your life and did not tell God about it, maybe there are still some possession of yours, you need to throw away( eg. horror story books, charms, amulets, images of false gods etc.) You need to remember that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship between God and Man. Prayer is speaking to God and you have to pray and tell God what is happenning in your life, He will help you if you pray through the name of His Son. "I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete" (John 16:23) Live in Faith and NOT depending on feelings and emotions. These things in your life will change but faith in Him will never change. As for you cannot understand the bible, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, start by reading the gospel of John. It is alright to feel lost initially, just like all kids do when they go to a new school but learn to make friends in church and when you trust them enough, tell them your problems and ask them to help you. Seek help from your church elders and i am sure they are pleased to help you. I can also help you with some of your doubts and feel free to email me. We all care for you since we are all in God's family. Things you have to do --------------------- 1. Pray--see Philippians 4:7 2. Read the Bible--see Colossians 3:16 3. Tell pepole around you about Jesus--Matthew 28:19 Trust in God,not yourself : "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6) Live a victoroius Life in Christ and do not let the world and its lies deceive you and trouble you. Behold, our Lord Jesus is coming back soon! Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. (John 14:19) Jesus answered, "I am the Way, the Truth, the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
