Dear Kevin I stand with you in recognising that we are all sinners and it does not help us to reason out why we sin. Let's just confess our sin and repent. As I see it, whether hetrosexual or homesexual by orientation, a sexual sin remains a sin. Your battle is compounded by a problem of orientation and in a way how the world views homosexuals as an acceptable alternative in today's standards. Never-the-less it is not different from others who battle against the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes. I assure you our battles are just as vicious and painful. We all have our strongholds and we have to lay it before the LORD.
>But what i do know is that for what the church teaches, the May I suggest that celibacy is expected by all, not just the gays. To say you are not ready of that is to suggest "ME first, then God". That is placing Self before God and that is SIN. Please note that we are all guilty of this sin, (self before God)... you are not alone , neither are you the first.. We all struggle with the serpent who says to each one of us... "take and eat, you will surely not die, but will be wise like God..." For that reason, John the baptist cried out, "Repent" meaning turn away from your willfulness and return on God. Dear Kevin, I stand with you in the struggle with weaknessness. I pray that the LORD will give to you the power to over come the lure of the evil one. That Jesus will be so real in your life that your passion will be to please Him and that you will be freed from your struggles. May His love abound in you more and more each day to the point where you will willingly give up your right to sin against your body. Blessings..
