Totally agree with you, and prayer really works!
About 4 months ago, I lost my management level job. At the same time, my wife received a better job offer, so we thought we would be okay until I found another job. Afterall, the market was picking up. However, I soon realised that it was still very difficult to find employment. I must have sent out practically 200 over resumes and the response was like only 3 companies called me for interviews. And I didn't even get a job. The months dragged on, and soon it was 3 months! Imagine having to survive on my wife's income for that period...I felt so ashamed of myself for letting her down. But when I realised that I had not turned to God (as much as I should have)during this period of hardship, I started praying harder. Not asking for a miricle, but for His Love and guidance. A few weeks ago, I was called for another interview and shortlisted for a second one. At the same time, I had to go for reservist training, it seemed like such a cruel trick being played on me! But God was kind and I managed to make arrangements to attend the interview as well as report for training. You know what? I got the job! And it was a company/job that exceeded my expectations. It was something I did not even dare to hope for when I was jobless. Blessed be Almighty God Forever & Ever Amen!
