The day after Christmas, Nadine started having crying bouts that starts in the early evening and sometimes last through midnite. Nope it was not hunger, mosquitoes, heat or wind or some other thing. After almost one week, the confinement lady commented that she was very different from all the babies that she had handled. That's when we realised there was something wrong.
I spoke to my colleague and he suggested that the accident had affected the unborn child in ways we did not understand. That night on Jan 7 we prayed for her. That very night all was peaceful. The next few nights the peace was shattered again but on a much lesser scale. I was quite desperate and called my childhood friend for spiritual guidance,he asked me not to worry, he'll come down if it still persists after the baptism. Between then and baptism I had to spent time calming her down every day after work. Baptism day was the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year and since then she has been smiling at us whenever she wakes up. Sometimes she will stop feeding and smile at my wife for a good 5 minutes before continuing breastfeeding. Nadine gave us "New Hope"
