God is merciful

I just want to thank God for His great love and tender mercies. In February, I went to my gynae for a post-natal check. I was supposed to have gone in August, but I kept delaying it because I was too caught up with my new baby. During that visit, everything checked out fine, the pap smear showed no cancer. However, the gynae saw some unhealthy cells growing at my cervix and took a biopsy, and he later explained that though they are harmless now, over time, they might turn cancerous. He asked me to see him again in March for a follow-up. Before my appointment on March 11, I took a pregnancy test which turned out negative. I was still breastfeeding my baby still, and my periods had not returned since I gave birth in July. So I had to take pregnancy tests to rule out the possiblity of pregnancy, although it was my heart's desire to conceive again even while breastfeeding. My gynae told me that the chances are very slim though. But come March 11, I just didn't feel like going for my gynae appointment and called up to make another appointment for April 12. On April 12, my gynae checked me again and advised me to go for a laser surgery to remove the unhealthy cells. But this procedure can only be done while I am not pregnant. But I said I wasn't sure, although we both thought that it was not possible anyway. To be on the safe side, he did an ultrasound, and lo and behold, to both of our surprise, we saw that I WAS INDEED PREGNANT !! And it was about 6 or 7 weeks. I thank God for holding me back on my March 11 appointment. If I had gone on that day, my gynae would have suggested doing the surgery, and at that time, having just did a negative pregnancy test, I would have gone ahead, not knowing that I was already pregnant, even in the very early stages. That's why the test probably showed negative because it was too early. And if we had gone ahead with the surgery, this baby would have been destroyed. I just want to thank God for this little baby, and for His care and protection on this little one. I know God has special plans for this little one. I also want to thank God for having allowed me to breastfeed my first born until 9 months, and helping me to stop once I found out about this second pregnancy. Thank and praise to God.
