Recently, an elderly female staunch buddist who refused to believe in Jesus was awarded to hospital. She was diagnosed as cancer victim and the doctor said that she only left with two weeks. Her daughter who was a believer in Christ prayed and invited her christian friends to visit her mum. One of them happened to be my friend who faithfully visited her.

The amazing thing was that her mum continued to live for months and finally before she passed away. Her daughter joyfully break the good news to my friend and invited him come to the hospital quickly. Her mum told my friend that the Lord appeared to her and told her to believe in Him. What a great joy ! My friend led her through sinner's prayer and she witness in front of her children and grand children that she has come to know the Lord. It was really a touching moment.

A week later, she passed away but we know she went to eternity for good !

Praise the Lord ! I learnt a lesson from here is that sometimes, I find that the Lord always like to do things 'last minute'. What I really means is that he will put your faith to test till the last moment. I can understand how anxious her daughter and her friends could be and knowing that her mum who refused to believe and left with uncertainty. I believe that the Lord already has a plan and he was testing their faith.

Years ago, I remember my friend who is going for a mission trip and he has to raise his own mission funds for the trip. When the day for the trip is approaching, he was still far away from his mission fund's target. The day before his trip, someone handed him a sum of money that covers almost 80% of his required funds. Isn't it amazing !

Remember, King Saul was told to wait for Prophet Samuel for seven days but on the seventh day, when King Saul didn't see Samuel and he was hard pressed by people and the enemy, Saul decided to offer his own sacrifice to God which is not lawful for him to do so. Just after his sacrifice, Samuel arrived and he reprimand Saul for his rash act. Even though Saul seems explained his reasons, God was not pleased. In this incident, God was not only testing Saul's obedience but his faith too.

I do hope this story will bring encouragement to people, especially when we reaching the last minute. Don't give up because we knows..... He always has a surprise.
