Lecturer


Rev Daniel Tong graduated from Trinity Theological College. Ordained in 1993. He now serves as an Anglican Pastor in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Queenstown. He is the author of "Ancestral Veneration - A Handbook for Christians".


Course


The course deals with prevailing issues faced by Chinese Christians when encountering certain Chinese Traditions and Beliefs, seeking to address specific problems and situations encountered by the Church or Home Cell leader.

Basic practical response to Chinese Traditions and Beliefs will be discussed to help equip Christians to deal with the customs related to the Chinese community in Singapore.

Topics like Festivals of the Living, Festivals of the Dead, The Marriage Tradition, The Mystical Practice of Qiqong, Traditional Chinese Cures and others will be covered.


Purpose


To provide basic training for Christian lay people to deal with difficult situations not only in their ministry, but also in one's personal life.
