Workshops

Hermeneutics (Chinese B1 & English B2)
Participants will learn principles of Bible interpretation and explore various tools to help them get deeper into the Bible. A 'must' for all Bible study group leaders and Sunday School teachers.
Bible Reading for All (Chinese B3 & English B4)
The Bible should be understandable and interesting for all, whether beginners or experienced readers. Come and learn how through using the SU Bible reading method and adult devotional guides.
Bible Reading for Children (C1)
Participants will learn principles and ways of helping children from aged 7 - 11 to read and explore Bible for themselves using the SU children's devotional guides 'Let's Go' & 'Check It Out'.
Creative Music for Children (C2)
Participants will learn how to use music and songs creatively to teach Bible truths to children. This workshop will be a singing and learning experience for Sunday School teachers and parents.
Sharing Spiritual Truths with Young Children (C3)
This workshop aims to help parents to maximise 'teachable moments' to share spiritual truths with young children in both formal and informal ways. A 'must' for all parents & parents-to-be!
Creative Bible Lessons for Pre-schoolers (C4)
This workshop will address the fundamental issues of the who and why in the pre-schoolers ministry, together with practical skills of the Method, Materials and Manner of teaching pre-schoolers.
Creative Bible Lessons for Primaries (C5)
Participants will learn the 'Hook-Book-Look-Took' method of planning and presenting Bible lessons to primary-aged kids creatively. If you are not familiar with it, you must attend this!
Bible Reading for Youths (Y1)
How do youth workers and parents encourage their teenagers/youths to read the Bible for themselves? This workshop seeks to share practical tips to tune them into the Bible.
Organising Youth Camps (Y2)
This workshop aims to induct participants to the process of planning and running a camp for youths and learning the ins and outs of organising a youth camp creatively.
Creative Bible Study for Youths (Y3)
Creative ways of having personal and leading group Bible study for young people aged 14 to 18 will be explored and discussed. Participants will go home with a bagful of workable ideas.
Helping Teens with Peer Pressure (Y4)
Is your teenager coping well with peer pressure? This workshop is designed for parents and youth workers to help young people cope with peer pressure.
