Good Morning!

ON SHARING CHRIST WITH OTHERS: "Use every means at your disposal to communicate the love of Christ, and only if necessary use words." St. Francis of Assissi

So what is it they say about communication:

20% is verbal

80% is non-verbal

In other words, "Your actions speak so loudly I can't hear what you are saying."

So what are the non-verbals you are projecting on to your lost associates?

Frenetic, frazzled...flailing...Or

Relaxed, real, and relevant?

Do they see you as:

Dedicated and dutiful...but dull....Or as

Approachable, authentic and available?

Are you viewed as:

Committed, correct, but "churchy"...Or as

Compassionate, concerned and communicative?

QUESTION: "Is your life so radically (and beautifully) different than that of your lost friends, that they are demanding an explanation?" In other words, "If you were on trial for your faith, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" That's what I Peter 3:15 is all about:

"Be ready at any time to give a quiet and reverent answer to any man who wants a reason for the hope that you have within you." (Phillips Translation)

Our lost friends are looking for authenticity...not perfection; compassion over exacting correctness. As someone has rightly stated, "People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care." So...let's share Christ with our friends, and only if necessary use words.

Have a great week!
