Once upon a time, there were many youths wandering around outside the church, in the carpark or garden, during the 7:30am main English service.  Many came because their parents came or their friends came, but they couldnt fit into the existing service and structure.  Realising their needs and problem, the ASC English Youth Service was started in 1992.  It grew from an initial weekly attendance of about 30-40 people to about 120 people even though many of the youths, being students, have since come and gone to further their studies overseas. 

The Youth Service's existence is defined in short as "Foundation and Mission" which is implemented through our weekly Sunday Services and our Youth Cell Groups.  Youth Ministry needs heavy adults supervision.  Our ASC Youth Service has a serious manpower shortage which strain our current resources.  We need help in various ways from Adults who are committed, who are interested in Youth work, who could interact with the Youth, so that we can move beyond our current stage of maintenance and enlarge our territory in this area of God's Kingdom. 
 

THE  ROLE 
The Supervisor will provide Spiritual support, counselling and guidance for the Youth Cell Leader and also be a shepherd to the group.  

THE  PERSON  
Cell meetings are on Saturday afternoons - the person has to be able and willing to make this weekly time commitment (at least for the year) and be available for the Cell Group assigned to.  The person should have a fair knowledge of the Bible, is an intercessor and has a shepherd heart,  preferably above 20 years old and able to interact with the Youth members in the Cell.  The person should have at least a basic understanding (if not, then be willing to learn) of and uphold the 4Ws Cell group concept.  
 

THE  ROLE 
The Youth Cell Leader is the spiritual leader, pastor and shepherd of the Cell Group.  The leader diagnoses the problems and needs of the Cell and plans to solve those problems, fulfill those needs and bring the Cell from stage to stage, until it is ready for multiplication.  
The Intern Leader assists the Cell Leader and learns from the Leader and in the process prepared to lead a new group when the current Cell multiplies. 

THE  PERSON 
Cell meetings are on Saturday afternoons - the person has to be able and willing to make this weekly time commitment (at least for the year) and be available for the Cell Group assigned to.  The person should have a fair knowledge of the Bible, is an intercessor and has a shepherd heart and age between thirteen (13) and nineteen (19).  
 

THE  ROLE  
Drummer, Keyboard Player, Bass Guitarist, Lead Guitarist.  
We hope to recruit more members to form at least two or three teams.  In order to maximise resources, the team on duty will be serving both services on Sundays, ie the Music Team will be on duty from 7:00am to 2:00pm on alternate Sundays.  If we manage to expand our music team, hopefully the roster will be once in 3 weeks or once monthly, instead of the current alternate weekly roster.  

THE  PERSONS  
The persons we are looking for should have at least basic knowledge of the instruments they seek to play in the team and should be willing and committed to learn more.  However, experts are most welcome !  You should also be a worshipper of our Lord Jesus Christ.
